SUNDAY OF THE FATHERS OF THE SIX ECUMENICAL COUNCILS

Tropar Resurrectional tone 4:  When the disciples of the Lord learned from the angel* the glorious news of the resurrection* and cast off the ancestral condemnation,* they proudly told the apostles:* "Death has been plundered!* Christ our God is risen,* granting to the world great mercy.

Tropar of the Fathers Tone 8:  Christ our God, You are glorified above all, You established our fathers as beacons on earth and through them guided all of us to the true faith. Glory to You, most compassionate Lord.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit:

Kondak Resurrectional tone 4:  My Savior and Deliverer from the grave* as God has raised out of bondage the children of earth* and shattered the gates of Hades;* and as Master, He rose on the third day.

Kondak of the Fathers, Tone 6:  The Son who ineffably shone from the Father was born two-fold of nature from a woman. Beholding Him, we do not reject the image of His form; but depicting it, we revere it faithfully.  Therefore, the Church, holding the true faith, kisses the icon of Christ's becoming man.

Now and forever and ever. Amen.

Theotokon, Tone 6:  Undaunted patroness of Christians, O steadfast intermediary with the Creator, turn not away from the suppliant voices of sinners, but in your kindness came to help us who cry out to you in faith. Be quick to intercede, make haste to plead, are ever the patroness of those who honor you, O Mother of God.

Prokimen Resurrectional tone 4:  How great are Your works, O Lord;* You have made all things in wisdom. (Ps. 104:24,1)

Verse: Bless the Lord, O my soul; O Lord my God, You are exceedingly great. 

Prokimen of the Fathers Tone 4: Blessed are You, Lord God of our fathers, and praised and glorified is Your Name forever. (Dan 3:26)

Alleluia Resurrectional tone 4: Poise yourself and advance in triumph and reign in the cause of truth, and meekness, and justice.

            Verse: You have loved justice and hated iniquity. (Ps. 45:5,8) Alleluia. (3)

Alleluia of the Fathers:   The God of gods, the Lord, Spoke and summoned the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting; (Psalm 49/50):

Verse:  Gather to Him His devout ones, who with sacrifice made covenant with Him. 

Communion verse resurrectional:  Praise the Lord from the heaven praise Him in the highest. 

Communion verse of the Fathers:  Rejoice in the Lord you just;* praise befits the righteous. Alleluia (3).

Тропар Отців, голос 8:   Препрославлений Ти, Христе Боже наш, * світила на землі отців наших оснував Ти * і ними до істинної віри всіх нас направив Ти. * Багатомилосердний, слава Тобі.

Слава Отцю і Сину і Святому Духові:

Кондак Воскресний голос 4:  Спас і мій визволитель,* як Бог, із гробу воскрес землян від узів* і розбив брами адові* та воскрес на третій день, як Владика.

Кондак Отців, голос 6:  Ти — із Отця несказанно возсіявший Син * — з жени родився подвійний єством. * Його видячи, не відрікаємося виду зображення, * але Його, благочесно написавши, вірно почитаємо. * І ради того Церква, держачи істинну віру, * цілує ікону вочоловічення Христового.

Богородичний, голос 6:  3аступнице християн непостидна, * молитвенице до Творця незамінна,* не погорди голосами молінь грішників, * але випереди як благая з поміччю нам, щo вірно співаємо Тобі: * Поспішись на молитву і скоро прийди на моління, * заступаючи повсякчас, Богородице, тих, що почитають Тебе.

Прокімен Воскресний голос 4:  Які величні діла Твої, Господи! Bce премудро сотворив Ти. 

Cтих: Благослави, душе моя, Господа! Господи, Боже мій, Ти вельми великий. (He 104,1)

Прокімен Отців, голос 4:  Благословен єси, Господи, Боже отців наших, і хвальне, і прославлене ім'я Твоя на віки (Дан. 3,26).
