PROSPHORA DINNER / ПРОСФОРА

The Prosphora is the common meal shared by a Ukrainian Catholic Parish family.  It is a demonstration of unity as a Christian community united in Christ and supported by Ukrainian traditions.  Our family meal will be held on January 11 after Divine Liturgy.  Cost is adults $10.00; students, children age 7-14 $4.00. Children 6 years and under are free. We also ask that you please bring baked goods, which are needed for our Prosphora dinner.

Наша річна Різдвяна Просфора відображає християнську єдність нашої парафії об’єднаної Христом та основана на Українській традиції.  Цей святковий обід відбудеться в неділю 11-го січня після Служби Божої. Кошти $10.00 для дорослих, $4.00 для студентів і дітей 7-14.  Діти нижче 6 років безплатно.  Також просимо принести 

HOME BLESSINGSПОСВЯТТЯ ДОМІВHouse blessings will begin this week.  As in the past, if you would like a specific date and time for Fr. Teodor to come and bless your home, please call the Rectory.  Otherwise, he will call ahead and let you know when he will be visiting your area.  Please have a table set up for him from which to start your house blessing:  a white table cloth with candles and a holy image or cross.

О. Теодор буде ходити посвячувати хати з Йорданською водою.  Як і в минулих роках, якщо хочете щоб отець до Вас приїхав в певний день чи час, то подзвоніть до плебанії. 

Так само будь-ласка, майте стіл приготовлений з свічками і образом звідки отець може починати.

SUNDAY AFTER THEOPHANY

Tropar, resurrectional tone 6:  Angelic powers were upon Your tomb and the guards became like dead men; Mary stood before Your tomb seeking Your most pure body. You captured Hades without being overcome by it. You met the Virgin and granted life. O Lord, risen from the dead, glory be to You!

Tropar of the Feast, tone 1:  When You, O Lord, were baptized in the Jordan,* worship of the Trinity was revealed;* the voice of the Father bore witness to You,* naming You the “beloved Son”*, and the Spirit in the form of a dove* confirmed the Word’s certainty.*  Glory to You, O Christ God,* who appeared and enlightened the world.

Glory be to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and forever, and ever, Amen

Kondak of the feast, tone 4: Today You have appeared in the world* and Your light, O Lord, has been signed on us,* who with knowledge sing Your praises.*  You have come, You have appeared, O unapproachable Light. 

Prokimen of the feast, Tone 1 (Ps, 32/33):  Let your mercy, O Lord, be upon us* as we have hoped in You.

Verse: Rejoice in the Lord, O you just; praise befits the righteous.

Alleluia, (Ps. 88/89):  Your mercies, o Lord, I will sing for ever; from generation to generation I will announce Your truth with my mouth.

Verse:  For You have said:  Mercy shall be built up for ever; in the heavens Your truth shall be prepared.

Instead of Irmos – “It is truly right”:  O my soul, magnify Christ the King, baptized in the Jordan.  Every tongue is at a loss to praise you as is your due,* O Mother of God.*  Even a spirit from above is filled with dizziness* when seeking to sing your praises.* But since you are good accept our faith,* for you know well our love inspired by God.*  For it is you who protect all Christians;* therefore, we magnify you.

Communion Verse of the Sunday  The Grace of God has appeared* bringing salvation to all. (Titus 2)

Communion Verse Resurrectional: Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise Him in the highest. (Ps. 148:1) Alleluia. (3) 

НЕДІЛЯ ПІСЛЯ БОГОЯВЛІННЯ

Тропар воскресний голос 6:  Ангельські сили на гробі Твоїм,* i сторожі омертвіли;* Марія ж стояла при гробі,* шукаючи пречистого тіла Твого.* Полонив Ти ад i, не переможений від нього,* зустрів Ти Діву, даруючи життя.* Воскреслий з мертвих, Господи, слава Тобі!

Тропар празника, голос 1:  Коли в Йордані хрестився Ти, Господи,* Троїчне з’явилось поклоніння:* бо Родителя голос свідчив Тобі,* возлюбленим Сином Тебе називаючи;* і Дух у виді голубинім засвідчив твердість слова.*  Явився, Ти, Христе Боже,* і світ просвітив, слава Тобі.

Слава Отцю і Сину і Святому Духові, і нині і повсякчас і на віки вічні. Амінь.

Кондак празника, голос 4: З’явився Ти сьогодні вселенній* і світло Твоє, Господи, опромінило нас.*  Пізнавши тебе, співаємо:*  Ти прийшов і появився – Світло недоступне.

Прокімен празника, голос 1:  Будь, Господи, милість Твоя на нас, бо уповали ми на Тебе. (Пс. 32,22)

Стих:  Радуйтеся, праведні, у Господі, правим належить похвала. (Пс. 32,1)

Алилуя празника:  Милости Твої, Господи, повік оспівуватиму, сповіщу з роду в рід істину Твою устами моїми. (Пс. 88,2)

Стих:  Бо сказав Ти : повік милість збудується, на небесах приготовиться істина Твоя. (Пс. 88,3)

Замість Достойно:  Величай душе моя, царя – Христа, що хрестився в Йордані.  Не зуміє ніякий язик достойно благохвалити тривожиться й ум, і то надсвітній, коли оспівує тебе, Богородице; одначе Ти, Благая, прийми віру, бо любов нашу божественну знаєш, бо Ти є християн заступниця, Тебе величаємо.

Причасний празника:  Явилася благодать Божа спасительна всім людям. (Тт. 2,11)

Причасний: Хваліте Господа a небес, хваліте Його на висотах. (Пс 148,1) Алилуя, тричі.
