 BIRTHRIGHT MOTHER’S DAY

FLOWERS:  A Thank You For Life

After each Divine Liturgy on Sunday, May 11, volunteers will be taking donations for Birthright of Binghamton.  For each $1 donation, you get a beautiful carnation to honor your mother, to take home, or to honor our Blessed Mother.  The donations enable Birthright to help mothers in need and girls in crisis pregnancy in our area to give birth and care for their babies.

Spring is here. It is time to make our cemetery clean and presentable.  When upkeeping the graves of your beloved departed, please be mindful and throw any organic garbage (dirt, flowers, etc.) over the embankment, not in the trash containers.  Also, please try to take as much non-organic garbage back home with you for disposal, even if left by others, PLEASE!

CHOIR PRACTICE

Wednesday, May 14 @ 7 PM.  Choir loft in church

The Preservation Association of the Southern Tier (PAST) is co-sponsoring with The New York Landmarks Conservancy a Sacred Sites Open House on Sunday, May 18, 2024 at various times between 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This state wide event is Free and Open to the Public.  To obtain a listing of the twenty-three Sacred Sites open in the Southern Tier, Binghamton, Johnson City, Port Dickinson, Hillcrest and Endicott, go to www. pastny.org, local libraries, history centers, and religious sites.  Welcoming Our Neighbors.  Experience the architecture, culture, and history of our community. This is an opportunity for the public to be a tourist in their own neighborhood and view the interiors of these magnificent buildings.

Тропар воскресний, голос 3:  Нехай веселяться небесні, нехай радуються земляни,* бо показав владу рукою Своєю Господь.* Він смертю смерть подолав,* первістком з-поміж мертвих став,* визволив нас із глибин аду* i подав світові велику милість.

Слава Отцю і Сину і Святому Духові; 

Кондак Розслабленого голос 3:  Душу мою, Господи, у гріхах всіляких і безглуздими діяннями тяжко розслаблену,* воздвигни божественним Твоїм заступництвом,* як і розслабленого воздвигнув Ти древньо,* щоб я кликав до Тебе, спасаючись:* Слава, Христе, владі Твоїй.

І нині і повсякчас і на віки вічні. Амінь.

Алилуя:  Милості Твої, Господи, повік оспівуватиму, з роду в рід (Пс. 88,2)

            Стих: Бо сказав Ти:  Повік милість збудується. (Пс. 88,3)

Замість «Достойно є»:        Ангель сповіщав Благодатній:  Чистая Діво, радуйся. І знову кажу: радуйся.  Твій Син воскрес тридневний із гробу, і мертвих воздвигнув Він.  Люди, веселіться.

            Світися, світися, новий Єрусалиме, слава бо Господня на тобі возсіяла. Радій нині й веселися, Сіоне.  А Ти Чистая, красуйся, Богородице, востанням рождення Твого.

Причасний Пасхи:  Тіло Христове прийміть* джерела безсмертного споживіть.

Причасний Недільний:  Хваліте Господа з небес, хваліте Його на висотах. (Пс 148,1) Алилуя. (3)

Замість «Благословен, хто йде ...» і «Ми бачили ...» співається: «Христос Воскрес».

Замість «Нехай сповниться ...» і «Нехай буде ім’я ...» співаємо «Христос Воскрес» (3).

 Замість «Слава Отцю і Сину і Святому Духові ...» співається: «Христос Воскрес». 

А на кінець літургії співаємо «Христос Воскрес ...» (3).  І Cв. тоді «І нам дарував життя вічне,» і вірні, «поклоняємось Його на третій день воскресіння.»

Tropar Resurrectional Tone 3:  Let the heavens be glad, let the earth rejoice, for the Lord has done a mighty deed with His arm. He trampled death by death. He became the first-born of the dead; He saved us from the abyss of Hades and granted great mercy to the world.

Glory be to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit;

Kondak of the Paralytic Tone 3:  Lord as of old You raised the Paralytic, lift my soul by Your divine presence, for by my many sins and foolish actions, I, too, am now afflicted and crippled.  Raise me, that being saved I may cry to You:  Glory to Your power, O merciful Christ.

Now and forever and ever.  Amen

Kondak of The Resurrection Tone 8:   Though You descended into a tomb, O Immortal One, yet You destroyed the power of Hades; and You rose as victor, O Christ God, calling to the myrrh-bearing women: Rejoice! And giving peace to Your Apostles: You, who grant Resurrection to the fallen.

Prokimen Resurrectional Tone 1:  Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, as we have hoped in You.

            Verse: Rejoice in the Lord, O you just; praise befits the righteous. (Ps. 32:1)

Alleluia: (Ps 88/89):  Of Your mercies, O Lord, I will sing forever; with my mouth I will proclaim Your truth from generation to generation.  Alleluia. (3)

            Verse: For You have said; “Mercy will be established forever. Alleluia. (3)

The irmos (instead of “It is truly proper”):  The Angel cried out to the One full of grace; O chaste Virgin, rejoice! And again I say, Rejoice!  Your Son has risen from the tomb on the third day, and raised the dead.  Let all people rejoice!  Shine, shine, O new Jerusalem!  For the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! Exult now and be glad, O Sion! And you, O chaste Mother of God, take delight in the resurrection of your Son.

Communion Verse Pascha:  Receive the body of Christ;* taste the fountain of immortality.

Communion Verse Sunday:  Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise Him in the highest. (Ps. 148:1) Alleluia. (3)

At Communion, “Christ is Risen ...(1)” replaces “Blessed is He ...,” and “We have seen the true light ...” Instead of “Let our mouths be filled ...”, and “Blessed is the name of the Lord ...” we sing “Christ is Risen” three times.  And at the end instead of “Glory be ...” we sing “Christ is Risen” once.  After liturgy, we sing the tropar of the resurrection thrice; and after the last one, the priest sings:  “And to us he has granted life eternal;” then the people, “we bow down before His resurrection on the third day.”
