CEMETERY

Spring is here.  It is time to make our cemetery clean and presentable. When upkeeping the graves of your beloved departed, please be mindful and throw any organic garbage (dirt, flowers, etc.) over the embankment, not in the trash containers.  Also, please try to take as much non-organic garbage back home with you for disposal, even if left by others.

MAY AND JUNE DEVOTIONS

The envelopes for “May and June Devotions” are coming up.

Write the names of the LIVING that you would like to pray for throughout the two months of devotions during molebens.

BIRTHRIGHT MOTHER’S DAY

FLOWERS:  A Thank You For Life

After each Divine Liturgy on Sunday, May 10, volunteers will be taking donations for Birthright of Binghamton.  For each $1 donation, you get a beautiful carnation to honor your mother, to take home, or to honor our Blessed Mother.  The donations enable Birthright to help mothers in need and girls in crisis pregnancy in our area to give birth and care for their babies.

50th ANNIVERSARY OF THE CHURCH BUILDING WILL BE NEXT YEAR.  We are looking for information about the sponsorship of the icons and other parts of the interior for a booklet.  Please send what you may remember by email to shucc@stny.rr.com.

На початок літургії: співається «Христос Воскрес» 3 рази, аж до віддання Пасхи

Тропар Воскресний голос 4:   Світлу про воскресіння розповідь від ангела почувши* і від прадідного засуду звільнившись,* Господні учениці, радіючи, казали апостолам:* Здолана смерть, воскрес Христос Бог,* що дав світові велику милість.

Тропар Переполовення голос 8:  Коли настала половинна свята,* дай, Спасе, напитись спраглий душі моїй води побожности,* бо Ти до всіх промовив:* Хто спраглий, нехай йде до мене і п’є.*  Джерело життя нашого, Христе Боже, -- слава тобі!

Тропар святого, голос 8:  Змагаючись за чесноту, з юности полюбив ти чернече життя* і бажане сміливо осягнув;* поселивсшись у печері,* ти прикрасив своє життя постом і святістю.* У молитвах, немов ангел, перебував ти в русько-українській землі* і, як світло промінне, засіяв ти отче Теодосію.* Моли Христа Бога, щоб спаслися душі наші.

Кондак святого, голос 4:  Богом вирощенний, був ти найпочеснішим подвижником побожности* і снопи чеснот зібрав ти собі,* бо сіяв у сльозах, тому жнеш у радості.*  Постраждавши до крови, ти прийняв Христа,* тому молитвами твоїми, Святий, випрошуєш усім прощення гріхів.

Прокімен Воскресний голос 3:  Співайте Богові нашому, співайте; співайте цареві нашому, співайте.  (Пс 47,7)

            Стих: Всі народи, заплещіть руками, кликніть до Бога голосом радости. (Пс. 47, 2)

Прокімен святого, голос 7:  Чесна перед Господом* смерть преподобних його.

Алилуя:  Натагни лук, і успівай, і царюй, істини ради, і лагідности, і справедливости (Пс. 44, 5)

            Стих:  Возлюбив Ти правду і возненавдів Ти беззаконня. (Пс. 44, 8)

Замість «Достойно є»:  Ангель сповіщав Благодатній:  Чистая Діво, радуйся. І знову кажу: радуйся.  Твій Син воскрес тридевний із гробу, і мертвих воздвигнув Він.  Люди, веселіться.  Світися, світися, новий Єрусалиме, слава бо Господня на тобі возсіяла. Радій нині й веселися, Сіоне.  А Ти Чистая, красуйся. Богородице, востанням рождення Твого.

Причасний Пасхи:  Тіло Христове прийміть* джерела безсмертного споживіть.

Причасний Недільний:  Хваліте Господа з небес, хваліте Його на висотах. (Пс 148,1) Алилуя. (3)

Замість «Благословен, хто йде ...» і «Ми бачили ...» співається: «Христос Воскрес ...».

Замість «Нехай сповниться ...» і «Нехай буде ім’я ...» співаємо «Христос Воскрес ...»(3).

Замість «Слава Отцю і Сину і Святому Духові ...» співається: «Христос Воскрес ...». 

На кінець літургії співаємо «Христос Воскрес ...» (3). 

І Cв. тоді «І нам дарував життя вічне,»

 і вірні, «поклоняємось Його на третій день воскресіння.»

THE SUNDAY ABOUT THE SAMARITAN WOMAN

At the beginning of Liturgy, “Christ is Risen” is sung 3 times, until the leave-taking of Pascha

Tropar Resurrectional Tone 4:  When the disciples of the Lord learned from the angel the glorious news of the resurrection and cast off the ancestral condemnation, they proudly told the apostles: "Death has been plundered! Christ our God is risen, granting to the world great mercy.

Tropar of Mid-Pentecost Tone 8:  At the mid-point of the Feast. O Savior, water my thirsty soul with streams of true godliness; for You cried out to all:  Let any who thirst, come to Me and drink.  O Source of life, Christ our God, glory to You!

Tropar of the saint, Tone 8:  Raised in virtue, O Father Theodosius, from childhood you loved the monastic life and attained your desire courageously.  You lived in a cave adorning your life with fasting and radiance and abided in prayer like the bodiless powers.  You shone like a beacon in the land of Rus/Ukraine.  Entreat Christ God to save our souls.

Glory be to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit;

Kondak of the Sunday of the Samaritan Woman Tone 8: Drawn to the well by faith, the Samaritan woman beheld You, the Water of wisdom, and drinking abundantly of You, she inherited the heavenly kingdom for ever, becoming everlastingly glorious

Kondak of Mid-Pentecost Tone 4:  At the mid-point of the feast according to the Law, Maker of all things and Master, You said to those present, O Christ God:  Come, and draw the water of immortality.  And so we fall before You crying out with faith; Grant us Your mercies, for You are the source of our life.

Now and forever and ever.  Amen

Kondak of the saint, Tone 3:  Today we revere the star of Rus/Ukraine, blessed Theodosius, who shone from the East and came to the West; for he enriched this whole land and all of us with gentleness and miraculous wonders by the practice and the grace of the monastic rule.
